AlienNation est le projet solo et seul projet musical de Simon Langevin. Il est un artiste visuel avant-tout, qui se consacre exclusivement au collage, créant des mondes psychédéliques, surréalistes, criards et hyperbolisés. Ce qui reflète justement sa technique de création, et ces univers visuels qu’il nous présente dans ce «2010». Mais on peut aussi retrouver une naïveté, extrêmement importante, qui donne une teinte très personnelle à l’ensemble et qui permet une distanciation avec l’habitude. Langevin est un autodidacte, il aborde la musique par sensation, sans connaître les fondements de celle-ci, et c’est là l’intérêt pour nous ici: Il s’agit d’une musique qui s’échappe de la dualité populaire «bon/mauvais», un document unique qui se distance ainsi d’une écoute traditionnelle et qui demande finalement la plus grande attention.
